HCC Update (August 27, 2020)

Two Adult Sunday School Classes Resuming
September 6th the Glory Class (women) and the Disciplers Class (mixed adults) will resume meeting. The Glory Class will meet in the first section of the Fireside Room and the Disciplers Class will meet in the remaining sections of the Fireside Room at 10:30a.

This Sunday (August 30th)
Drive-In/Outside Worship Services

We will hold both of our morning worship services (9:00 and 10:30) OUTSIDE in front of the church building. David Linn will bring a message from the series Run With Horses, called Buy a Field from Jeremiah 32. Here is how the morning will work:

  • The front entry (portico) will serve as the stage.
  • You can stay in your car and tune to 99.1 FM, or bring lawn chairs and sit in the roped-off area in the center of the parking lot, or even bring a canopy and set up by the crosses.
  • Restrooms will be available.
  • Volunteers will assist with parking, distribute communion emblems, and receive the offering.
  • Families will worship together. Bible activities will be available to help keep children occupied while they’re with their families.
  • In case of rain, we’ll still meet outside, but encourage everyone to participate in their vehicles.

Please join us for this special Sunday. This will be an opportunity for many of you who have not yet worshipped with us in person during the pandemic to safely join us.

Midweek Bible Study (In the room or on Zoom)
Join us LIVE in the Fireside Room OR on Zoom. You can meet in-person for our midweek Bible Study Wednesday at 6:30p in the Fireside Room. Each session will begin with a short video by Tony Evans.

Willing Workers Meeting
The Willing Workers, (ladies' fellowship and service group) will meet Wednesday, September 9 at 9:30a in the Fireside Room. Snacks will be served. This will be the first of regular monthly meetings on the 2nd Wednesday of each month. Meetings will go through the end of May 2021.

3/3rds Small Groups are Continuing to Form
One of our goals for 2020 is to see an increase of 100 small group participants. These groups meet both ONLINE (On Zoom) and ON-SITE (In Homes, etc.). Joining a small group is an excellent way to find a deeper connection with God's Word and with God's people.  CLICK HERE TO CONNECT TO A SMALL GROUP

Giving
We are most grateful for your continued generous support of HCC during a difficult time. Our giving has remained strong, and we continue to meet our budget. If you are not already doing so, now is a great time to consider our online giving option. CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFORMATION.

You Can Help!
As we continue our transition back into the building we have several new needs. One great area of need is with Worship Tech for in-person and online worship. If you are interested you can learn more and signup HERE. There are a few other needs as well; Sunday Morning Sanitizing (in between services), First Impressions (hospitality—café, welcome team, ushers), and Preschool/Elementary Ministry.
