HCC Update (Nov 6, 2020)

Angel Tree 2020
You can be a blessing! Once again, we are conducting our Angel Tree project. There are now TWO WAYS to select available tags.

  1. IN-PERSON: the traditional tree will be placed in HCC's lobby (beginning Nov 8)
  2. *New* ONLINE: an online sign-up is now available at https://tinyurl.com/20-angel-tree-20

Gifts may be brought to church Sunday mornings and dropped off at the Angel Tree table. If you are not attending services in person, the gifts can be brought to the church during office hours, Monday-Friday. The deadline for returning gifts is Sunday, November 29. Please include tag information with each gift so we can match it to the correct child!
The Angel Tree ministry has provided gifts for selected families within our community for many years. By providing two methods to select tags, we are hopeful the response will be as generous as it has been in the past.

Missions Faith Promise
Nov 15th & 22nd with Dan Franks, CCHO, and Leonard Thompson, SWE (India). This year’s theme: Beyond. Our goal for 2021 is $125,000. “Our hope is that, as your faith continues to grow, our sphere of activity among you will greatly expand, so that we can preach the gospel in the regions beyond you.” 2 Corinthians 10:15-16
By the way, we are at around 80% of the way to reaching our 2020 goal of $120,000. Please prayerfully consider your giving through Nov & Dec to help us reach this goal!
Global Apologetics Conference
November 19-21, 2020, 6-9pm. We will watch this free conference from Ravi Zacharias International Ministries (RZIM) live in the Fireside Room. The conference will feature over 15 RZIM speakers, Q & A, and interviews to help equip us to better engage our culture with the unchanging and timeless love of Christ. Click HERE for more info.
3/3rds Small Groups are Continuing to Form
One of our goals for 2020 is to see an increase of 100 small group participants. These groups meet both ONLINE (On Zoom) and ON-SITE (In Homes, etc.). Joining a small group is an excellent way to find a deeper connection with God's Word and with God's people.  CLICK HERE TO CONNECT TO A SMALL GROUP
We are most grateful for your continued generous support of HCC during a difficult time. Our giving has remained strong, and we continue to meet our budget. If you are not already doing so, now is a great time to consider our online giving option. CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFORMATION.
American Red Cross
CRITICAL LOCAL VOLUNTEER NEED!! Our local Red Cross is currently experiencing an urgent need for FIVE NEW volunteers in the Licking County area to help staff our community blood drives in the area (specifically to help with the position of blood drive ambassadors).
FYI: Blood Ambassador volunteers welcome visitors at local blood drives, assist with donor registration questions and take their temperature (with a handheld temperature checker) before they enter. These volunteers typically volunteer 2-3 days a month and cover scheduled 3 to 6-hour shifts. Protective equipment is provided and social distancing protocols are enforced. Training is provided and nursing staff is always available to assist with any questions.
For anyone that would like to know more about how they can register to help, click the following link: www.redcross.org/volunteertoday. You can also email michael.vance@redcross.org for more information.
