Three Reasons Considering Sunday’s Time Change To Come Back To Church

We have several people who have not been back into the building for worship since the pandemic began. We understand that many of our church family are vulnerable to the COVID-19 virus and for health and safety need to continue to stay home. For those who are not able to attend in-person, we are happy to provide our online services live at 9 and 10:30a each Sunday. You can go to heath.church/live to access our online services.

We want to remind you that we have taken steps to ensure everyone’s safety, including spacing the seating to allow for 6-feet distancing, we have installed hand sanitizing stations throughout the building, and we are encouraging everyone who can to follow the state’s mandate for masks. Also, we are doing a regular and thorough cleaning of the building.

Would you please consider, if you are not one of the more vulnerable, to come back to the building to worship in-person with us? Here are three reasons why it might be time for you to get back to church considering Sunday’s time change.

  1. YOU CAN SLEEP IN AN EXTRA HOUR! Did you know we have lots of extra space in the 9a (1st) service? Some of you have tired in-person worship but were not comfortable with the larger crowd in the 2nd service. Why not take advantage of the extra space we have in the 1st service? Both of our services are the same, and the extra space in the first service could give you that sense of security you might be looking for. And this week, 9a will feel like 10a! So please, give our 9a (1st) service a try.
  2. YOU CAN SLEEP IN AN EXTRA HOUR! Many of you have resumed most of your regular activities, but have not yet returned to the church building. We would like to encourage you to use Sunday's time change as an opportunity to get back to church. An extra hour of sleep might be the extra incentive you need to get back to in-person worship.
  3. YOU CAN SLEEP IN AN EXTRA HOUR! Some families with small children have not yet come back into the building for worship because of a lack of programming for your children. Several weeks ago we implemented classes for preschool through elementary age during the 10:30a (2nd) service to allow parents to worship while their children receive age-appropriate Bible lessons. Beginning this Sunday we are also offering a staffed nursery for infants during the 10:30a (2nd) service. The 9a (1st) service nursery will not be staffed but will continue to be available as a cry room for parents of young children. Parents--you and your children are welcome! Please join us for in-person worship this Sunday.

Again, we understand that some of the more vulnerable members of our church family should not attend in-person services. However, some of you might still be using this pandemic as an excuse not to come to church when you have resumed many of your other regular activities. Why not use this Sunday’s time change as a reason to come back to church? We hope you will!
